The effect of the COVID-19 pandemic has been evident across all industries. With this, we have been tasked by the Torres Strait Regional Authority (TSRA) to create strategic research and development recovery and marketing plan for the Torres Strait Fishery – a proudly indigenous-owned business.
We also produced an Exporter’s Handbook for the Torres Strait Fisheries. The handbook serves as a guide for fishers to understand what’s required to become export-ready and the process involved.
Included in the plan is building diverse and profitable markets for the essential products of Torres Strait Fisheries – the Tropical Rock Lobster, Beche De Mer, and Fin Fish.
Our team also proposed a provenance trademark. We’ve also developed product brands to highlight the difference between Torres Strait seafood products in markets and support premium positioning to add value.
